SC Pannell Aromatico 2018

Adelaide Hills SA

64% Gewürztraminer, 33% Riesling, 3% Pinot Gris. Lychee, orange-blossom water, rose petals, cinnamon and nutmeg spice. Light to medium bodied, juicy, slippery with a creamy finish. Another fruit bomb, flavoursome and relaxed. A small amount of residual sugar, 10 g, balances and enhances the finish.

 

Woodvale Watervale Riesling 2018

Clare Valley SA

This bone dry Riesling flaunts a pale straw colour upon being poured into a glass. On the nose, it exudes intense lime aromas along with subtle notes of citrus. These fragrances are replicated on the refreshing palate. A touch of sweet fruit flavours and zesty acidity make way for a soul-satisfying climax. You may pair this lovely drink with lightly sautéed chicken, shellfish or simply a bowl of fruit salad.

Adelaide Hills SA

Pale straw with green hues. Fragrant aromas of nashi pear, nectarine and almond blossom are supported by ginger spice and nougat, with savoury complexities of dried herbs and toasted almonds. Beautifully intense flavours of stone-fruit and ripe pear are complemented by layers of lemon thyme, nougat and ginger, while a lovely pure line of apple-like acidity and excellent texture provide length on the finish.

Dowie Doole Rose 2018

McLaren Vale SA

Made from 87% Grenache and 13% Vermentino, this provencal inspired Rosé is dry, fresh & crisp. Blush pink with a rose gold hue. A lifted bouquet of vibrant fruits, consisting of strawberries, tangerine, pink grape fruit and orange peel. The palate; dry, long and fine, revealing lovely citrus fruits; pink grapefruit, and tangerine. Combined with strawberries and raspberry adding fruit sweetness. Finishing with a lovely acid line delicately balanced with a slight phenolic grip from the Vermentino.

Gestalt Woodside Pinot Noir 2018

Adelaide Hills SA

Lifted nose of satsuma, cranberry and cherry liqueur, leading to dried herbs and flowers with hints of mushroom and forest floor. The palate opens with sour cherries and fresh raspberries, followed by baked quince and feijoa with bramble-patch and potpourri in the background. It’s a super slurpy light-bodied wine with zingy acid lines and beautiful fine tannins.

Semi translucent vibrant red purple colour with a bright purple hue. Freshly crushed raspberry and cherry aromas intermix with hints of liquorice, inky earth and spice. Light, juicy palate with raspberry and plum flavours dominate over traces of liquorice, subtle inky earth characters and spice. Finishes with lively acidity, dryish tannins and an aftertaste of ripe raspberries, plum juice, subtle liquorice and inky spice.

Langhorne Creek SA

The palate is rich and full-bodied.  It is dark and ripe with colossal flavour. Tannins are powerful but beautifully integrated and perfectly offset the sweet fruits adding structure and clarity.  Big, powerful and mouth-filling this is a very generous wine with solid concentration and a very long finish.

Mollydooker Boxer Shiraz 2017

McLaren Vale SA

Opaque inky black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of cassis, dark plum and liquorice evolve from the glass followed by hints of black cherry and spicy vanillin oak. Rich and silky this flamboyant Shiraz boasts liqueur like black fruits and prominent toasty oak. Velvet smooth tannins. Shaded by some heat on the finish the wine concludes with lavish dark plum, liquorice, cassis, toasty oak and spice.

Lethbridge Pinot Gris 2017

Geelong VIC

Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of ripe pear intermix with hints of lychee, rose water and light quince followed by spicy end notes. Light with a very fresh and elegant feel the palate has Gewurztraminer like spice and lychee qualities to it. Pear, some tangy citrus and infusions of musk are also present. Finishes dry with crisp acidity and a medium length spice, lychee and musk aftertaste.

Stefano Lubiana Riesling 2017

Tasmania

Riesling displays complex European flavours due to the oak fermentation. Its texture and clean finishing natural acid lend itself to fuller bodied dishes and bolder flavours than you would normally dare to pair a Riesling with.

Twinwoods Chardonnay 2017

Margaret River WA

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish highlights around the edges and a watery hue. Lifted top notes of white peaches, grapefruit and nectarines overlay biscuity oak and spice. Texturally rich with beautiful fruit purity and outstanding concentration the palate is dominated by nectarine, grapefruit and ripe peach characters with some underlying dried honey and citrus. Vibrant fresh finish with crisp acidity. Excellent length concluding with a long ripe peach, grapefruit, nectarine, dried honey, citrusy nougat and light spicy oak aftertaste.

Dalrymple Pinot Noir 2017

Tasmania

The lifted wine offers briary fruit dominated by fresh cherries, blueberries and complexing nutmeg spice. The palate is full, flavorsome and long with evident fine tannins.

Collector Rose Red City Sangiovese 2014

Sangiovese (91%), Canaiolo Nero (3%), Mammolo (2%), Colorino (2%) Malvasia Nera (2%). Spiced redcurrant, mulberry and tobacco yield to a rich palate  framed by cherries, hints of tar and firm savoury tannins.

Tar & Roses Tempranillo 2018

Heathcote VIC

Deep ruby red. Savoury, fresh earth and mulberry/dark cherry notes on the nose with hints of pomegranate. Liqueur cherries, fig jam and sweet spice on the palate, plush and round. Well balanced with substantial cocoa powder tannin, the wine finishes rich and long.


Pierro Fire Gully Shiraz 2014

Margaret River WA

A bright purple-crimson hue, the bouquet has rose petal and spicy floral red fruits. The palate is elegant and medium bodied with plum, black cherry and spice and fleshy, silky tannins. The tannins are ripe and fine and this wine has the concentration and depth to repay cellaring.

Color: Bright red purple in color. Aromatics: With aromas of cassis and dark in ripe fruits such as blackberry. Palate: The palate is plush and rich with fine tannin structure typically found in full bodied red wines.  The flavours are long and well balanced. Food Pairing : Optivus is a perfect match for dishes such meats from the grill, roast lamb or a hearty boeuf Bourguignon, and it also will pair well with firm mature cheeses.

Marlborough NZ

Lovely ripe Awatere characters of guava, white currant, and elderflower coupled with the Wairau hallmarks of passionfruit & tropical notes and hints of basil and lime. These follow through to the palate – which is fine and soft with loads of fleshy fruit balanced by a ripe, juicy acidity and lingering minerality. There is real fruit weight here and that is complimented by lovely texture from the time on lees and the barrel parcels.

This Riesling embodies the elegant and racy characteristics of steep, slate-soil Mosel vineyards at a very reasonable price. It is a bright, vibrant, fruit-driven wine made with grapes from contracted growers throughout the Mosel River valley who work very closely with brothers Ernst and Thomas Loosen to achieve excellent quality and superb concentration in every vintage.

The fruit is from vines with an average age of 60 years on clays and limestone. The whole bunches are airbag-pressed before the musts undergo long fermentations with natural yeasts. This wine is made exclusively in stainless tanks for freshness.

Bunches of Grenache and Syrah grown on chalk and clay soils are strictly sorted to produce this cuvée. Hand harvests and traditional winemaking processes give a wine with red and black fruits aromas (blackberry and plum). A sweet touch of liquorice plus spice add layers to the sumptuous palate. A mouth filling wine in a pure Rhône style.

 

Antinori Peppoli Chianti Classico 2017

Tuscany ITA

Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Elevated aromas of ripe red currants and dark cherries intermingle with dried herbs, subtle tobacco, old cedar, faint leather and spice. Medium bodied and quite savoury the palate features ripe red currant and dark cherry flavours over earth, light tobacco, dried herbs and spice. Slightly dryish but well integrated tannins with a lick of bright acidity on the medium length finish.

Conde Valdemar Rioja Crianza 2015

Rioja ESP

Deep garnet red. Ripe fruit aromas stand out together with spicy notes. Vanilla and coconut resulting from the cask aging. Full-flavoured taste, with ripe fruit perfectly blending with the fine tannins from its time in the oak. Well-balanced and very expressive.
